OBJECTIVES

    1. Review the impact of diabetes on anxiety and depression
    2. Review the role of stress on acute metabolic control in patients with diabetes
    3. Discuss the use of anti-diabetic medication, such as oral anti-diabetics and insulin on patients with depression and anxiety
    4. Identify impediments in the management of patients with diabetes and depression
