| Description | This is a special annual conference that defines the current state of clinical and basic science advances in cardiovascular medicine. The year's conference will focus on three major aspects of heart research:
1. Despite heart disease still being the number one killer in the Western Workd, there is a paucity of modesl that would not only reflect the human disease, but also help to design and evelopm assist-devices and promote the understanding of the disease process.
2. The ailing heart and the cardiovascular system could be categorized by failing functionality of cells and organs. Muscle cells and circulating blood cells, as well as the stem cell that contribute to the formation of bolld vessels play major roles in this process.
2. Inflammation and immune functional changes determine atherosclerotic plaque vulnerability and ensuing thrombosis and myocardial infarction. |
