DescriptionAccording to the Journal of the American Medical Association, acute coronary syndromes is a term used to describe a group ofconditions resulting from acute myocardial ischemia and ranging from unstable angina to myocardial infarction. The conditions are related to varying degrees of narrowing or blockage of single or multiple coronaryarteries that provide blood, oxygen, and nutrients to the heart. This activity is supported in part by an educational grant from Merck.
