DescriptionAccording to the National Institutes of Health, abdominal swelling, or distention, is a common condition. Some possible causes include: air swallowing, irritable bowel syndrome, lactose intolerance, ovarian cyst, overeating, partial bowel obstruction, uterine fibroids.
