Objectives

2) Review surgical outcomes for minimally invasive procedures;
3) Discuss the current healthcare economics for bariatric surgery;
4) Discuss the disparities in healthcare for diabetes and obesity;
5) Identify and describe the management of complications for minimally invasive surgical procedures;
6) Explore the economic challenges hospitals face; budget, accountable care organizations, fee for
services to pay quality.
