Objectives

Upon conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

State the responsibility of Trauma Centers and Trauma Surgeons during a full scale disaster situation. 

Identify an effective method of identification of ATLS instructors.- PODIUM

Identify the pitfalls of calculating Total Body Surface Area Burns in Severe Pediatric Thermal Injury. 

State several factors that impact sleep quality and fatigue at a Level I Trauma Center. 

Define the use of PHQS as a screening tool for anxiety.

State the rationale for lack of seatbelt and helmet use in trauma patients.

Describe the relationship between the LOS, based on the TBSA, and quality of burn care as defined by commonly accepted quality metrics. 

Identify the degree of variability in management of compression therapy between burn units.
