Description
The majority of Hawaii surgeons are in a private practice model which the SITE symposium addresses by bringing to the surgeons of Hawaii state of the art and high-quality continuing medical education.
The SITE symposium's main goal is to enhance the surgeon's performance with the expectation that patient outcomes will improve. Lectures will focus on "Minimally Invasive Managment of Acute Care Surgical Problems". The goal of the symposium is to bring together experts from around the world to work in a collaborative fashion to improve patient outcomes.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
1. Explain and identify advances and outcomes in the management of complex hernias.
2. Identify and review current techniques in minimally invasive techniques in colorectal surgery.
3. Describe new techniques in bariatric surgery and review those techniques and outcomes.
4. Identify and review updates on healthcare quality and management.
5. Review and assess enhanced techniques in foregut surgery.
