Complex ocular diseases require a team approach between comprehensive ophthalmologists and specialists.  The 62nd Annual Postgraduate Symposium in Ophthalmology will teach physicians who diagnose and treat these age-related diseases consensus-based national standards, effective clinical practice guidelines to manage and optimize care, and participate in performance measurement and improvement activities.  First line providers need to be familiar with new medications and procedures with the increase of patients needing treatment and surgeries.  These providers will be able to ask leaders in research and treatment of each subspecialty for best practices for their patients.
