Description

Physicians have a gap in knowledge in managing complex ocular disease.  The Havener Eye Institute Retina Case Conference 2019 will focus on preferred practice patterns as endorsed by the American Academy of Ophthalmology to bridge this gap.  There will be an opportunities to discuss unique cases in a forum of clinicians in order to advance the medical knowledge of the group as a whole.  A variety of experience will be present from resident to attending physicians.  The goal is to leverage the knowledge and experience of various experts with the variety of experiences from the group of physicians present.  This will allow those in attendance to further their knowledge to best serve their own patients.

Recognize various vitreoretinal disorders

Evaluate and workup patients relative to their disease presentation

Manage patients with both medical and surgical interventions for complex ocular disease 

Evaluate and review advanced surgical techniques and novel technology
