Description

The 63rd Annual Postgraduate Symposium in Ophthalmology will address the knowledge deficit of complex ocular disease that requires a team approach between comprehensive ophthalmologists and specialists.  The physicians who diagnose and treat these age-related diseases need to know and follow consensus-based national standards, effectively use clinical practice guidelines to manage and optimize care, and participate in performance measurement and improvement activities.  First line providers need to be familiar with new medications and procedures with the increase of patients needing treatment and surgeries.  These providers will be able to ask leaders in research and treatment of each subspecialty for best practices for their patients.
