Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
1. Describe the characterization of aortic stenosis, the timing of referral, and the options for aortic valve replacement;
2. Discuss the classification of mitral valve regurgitation, how to medically optimize these patients, and device-based options for mitral valve disease;
3. Discuss the importance of multidisciplinary structural heart and congenital heart disease teams;
4. Identify patients that will benefit from tricuspid valve interventions;
5. Recognized the population of patients that stand to benefit from left atrial appendage closure;
6. Discuss emerging strategies for treating diastolic heart failure;
7. Describe the anatomy of septal defects, and indications for closure;
8. Review the management of adults with coarctation of aorta and the necessity and timing for intervention.
