As a result of this educational activity, webcast participants will be able to: UNDERSTAND the difference between MGUS, smoldering Myeloma, Symptomatic multiple Myeloma; DESCRIBE the general clinical features of plasma cell myeloma including the diagnosis, and steps required for evaluation; UNDERSTAND Treatment strategy for Newly diagnosed Multiple Myeloma Patients Eligible for Transplant and Newly diagnosed Multiple Myeloma Patients not Eligible for Transplant. You’ll also learn about the following: - Epidemiology of multiple myeloma
- Prognosis of multiple myelomaWhen to do a bone marrow biopsy
- Screening patients with kidney failure for multiple myeloma
- Management of hypercalcemia and renal failure in multiple myeloma
- Autologous versus allogenic stem cell transplant
