As a result of this educational activity, webcast participants will be able to: UNDERSTAND the difference between C diff assays; UNDERSTAND the different medications used to treat C. diff.; DESCRIBE the pathophysiology of Clostridioides difficile infection (CDI); and IDENTIFY at least two infection prevention measures to decrease the spread of Clostridioides difficile infections (CDI) in the healthcare setting.

Today on MedNet21, we're going to discuss Clostridium difficile.

Participants will learn the pathophysiology of Clostridioides difficile infections (CDI) and infection
prevention measures to combat the spread in healthcare facilities.  An overview of the most current Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) Clinical Practice Guidelines for treatment and prevention of CDI will be provided.
