Description
The cost of chronic liver disease in our healthcare system
is significant. We anticipate that costs will continue to rise as we encounter
many more patients with diseases like NAFLD which is fast becoming the main
reason for liver transplantation in the United States. The burden of liver
disease and liver cancer is expected to further increase in the years to come. Some
practitioners are unaware of updated interventions in prevention, early
detection, and treatment to manage all aspects of the disease.
