Description

Previous research has shown that TB attendants have
indicated that these meetings were beneficial to their practice and sometimes changed
their practice. 5 One of the major problems in practice is how to
manage patients in the recurrent setting after they have failed several
modalities; this topic is addressed continually in the discussion phase of TB
with regards to different diseases. Hence, the reason for many clinical trials
being conducted in the recurrent setting.

The TB conference follows a pre-determined format which
typically lasts about 75 minutes. Each case is briefly presented by a member of
the primary team; radiology and pathology faculty review relevant radiographic
studies and surgical pathology. After discussion and input from Neuro-surgery,
Neuro-oncology and Radiation-oncology a formal treatment decision is
recommended
