Objectives

-Discuss cross-sectional and longitudinal research linking blunted reward responsiveness to depression risk in youth of depressed mothers, a population at heightened risk for experiencing depression.

-Understand how individual and neighborhood-level stressors may interact with altered reward processing across neural levels to predict depression risk in youth.

-Present findings from a randomized controlled trial testing the effect of a novel dyadic positive emotion-focused preventive program for preventing the emergence of emotional problems in at-risk youth through enhancing child positive affect.
