As a result of this educational activity, webcast participants will be able to:   understand the basic
presentation and evaluation of uterine fibroids; understand the basic treatment option for uterine fibroids; Discuss initial work-up and how to optimize patient selection for uterine artery embolization (UAE); and define technical and clinical success and expected patient outcomes and comparing various treatment modalities.

Today on MedNet21, we're going to discuss Uterine Fibroids.

Learners can expect to get and general overview of uterine fibroids including epidemiology, etiology, natural history, risk factors, typical presentation and symptoms, diagnosis, and review treatment options.

Learners will also learn about optimizing patient selection for uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) and understanding the technical aspects of the procedure and anticipated outcomes.
