Description
ULTRA EMG is a comprehensive three-and-a-half-day course designed to address practice gaps and improve patient encounters identified by the Course Planning Committee, but also following recommended policies of the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM). This is a practical hands-on seminar on electrodiagnostic medicine, musculoskeletal and neuromuscular ultrasound, clinical neuromuscular physiology, and chemodenervation intended for medical physicians who wish to enhance and improve their skills. A limited number of especially qualified non-physicians may be accepted to this course. Course content is developed in cooperation with the Center for Continuing Medical Education. This course emphasizes practical skills sessions and live demonstrations of electromyographic and ultrasound techniques, management of dystonia and spasticity, and waveform analysis. Hands-on skills sessions provide opportunities for participants to interact with faculty on a daily basis.
