Description
The goal of this conference is to enhance participants’ knowledge and equip them with the skills necessary to incorporate ultrasound into the management of musculoskeletal conditions. Participants will receive foundational training in ultrasound techniques, including probe selection and placement, machine settings, and methods for obtaining high-quality images. They will also learn to identify the ultrasound characteristics of normal musculoskeletal anatomy, recognize common pathological features associated with musculoskeletal disorders, and master ultrasound-guided joint aspiration and injection techniques. We have outstanding faculty from various part of the country and will focus on inflammatory arthritis, osteoarthritis (OA), and muscle/tendon pathologies. Additionally, participants will have multiple opportunities to practice real-time injections in the cadaver lab.”

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:
1. basic training in proper ultrasound technique (probe choice and placement, machine settings, techniques for obtaining optimal images)
2. to recognize the ultrasound appearance of normal anatomic musculoskeletal structures
3. recognition of pathologic features on ultrasound of common musculoskeletal pathology
4. proper technique for ultrasound-guided joint aspiration and injection
