Description
It is important for the healthcare provider to be able to identify and integrate current guidelines in diagnosing and treating patients with multiple co-morbidities and diagnoses. This continuing medical education activity is designed for healthcare professionals involved in the diagnosis and management of cardiac arrhythmias and electrophysiology patients. Through case-based discussions and evidence-based presentations, participants will enhance their ability to interpret complex ECG findings, differentiate ventricular tachycardia from supraventricular tachycardia with aberrant conduction, and recognize clinical features associated with cardiac syncope.
The program provides practical guidance on contemporary atrial fibrillation management, including post-procedural care following left atrial appendage closure and application of guideline-directed treatment strategies. Attendees will review principles of antiarrhythmic drug selection for both atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, explore indications for leadless pacing, and develop approaches to managing common challenges associated with cardiovascular implantable electronic devices (CIEDs). Additional topics include activity recommendations following ICD discharge, the relationship between adult congenital heart disease and arrhythmias, and strategies to reduce procedural risks during electrical cardioversion. Upon completion, participants will be better equipped to apply current evidence and best practices to optimize outcomes for patients with heart rhythm disorders.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this continuing medical education activity participants should be able to:
1. Differentiate between ventricular tachycardia and supraventricular tachycardia with aberrant conduction on 12 lead ECG;
2. Discuss ongoing clinical management following left atrial appendage occlusion;
3. Utilize the core clinical pillars of atrial fibrillation management to formulate and evidence-based strategy for patient care;
4. Discuss antiarrhythmic drug selection in management of atrial and ventricular arrhythmias;
5. Identify clinical history and findings indicative of cardiac syncope;
6. List indications for leadless pacing;
7. Recognize and apply appropriate interventions for common problems with CIEDs;
8. Describe activity limitations following ICD discharge;
9. Describe the association between adult congenital heart disease and heart rhythm issues;
10. Review key steps to minimize procedural risks associated with electrical cardioversion.
