Objectives
Learning objectives -
1) Understand components of pharmaceutical industry deregulation (such as spread pricing, pharmacy benefit managers, insurance benefit design, and patent law) that contribute to the ongoing insulin crisis in the United States.
2) Appreciate bureaucratic obstacles to affordable insulin as a chronic stressor.
3) Learn about the diabetes patient advocacy movement.
