Description
Today on MedNet21, we're going to discuss New Developments in Asthma.
Asthma Update 2018provides an update on important safety considerations in the use of medications
for the care of the adult patient with asthma, reviews strategies for stepping-down therapy in the well-controlled asthmatic, outlines the importance of asthma-COPD overlap in clinical practice, and provides an overview of the expanding role of biologics in the care of the patient with severe asthma.
Pediatric Asthma Update reviews new options for treating children with persistent asthma not responding to low dose ICS therapy, explores the option of FeNO monitoring in asthma care, identifies changes providers may be seeing in the care their patients receive in emergency departments, and highlights a relatively new entity to include in the differential diagnosis of young children with persistent asthma-like symptoms.
