Description
This continuing medical education activity will address the everchanging landscape of weight loss in the care of bariatric patients. With the introduction of new weight loss drugs, providers have seen less patients using surgery as a form of weight loss, opting for medication instead. Discussion will include this change in the market for a multitude of provider types, including surgeons, PCPs, APPs, nurses, psychologists, and dieticians. There remain many unknowns regarding prescribing and using weight loss drugs. These drugs are also creating a change in the ways that weight loss care is provided, including a decrease in surgical operations.
