Description

This course is designed for the trainees and practicing Pulmonologists & Thoracic Surgeons to advance their knowledge and skills in EBUS-TBNA sampling. To maximize the learning experience, the participants will spend more time at the hands-on station with minimal didactic lectures. This course has been endorsed by the American Thoracic Society.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to
1.  Describe,recall and apply a through knowledge of mediastinal anatomy and lymph node stations
2.  Employ efficient technique of EBUS TBNA to sample lymph nodes and peripheral lung masses
3.  Conduct specimen processing to increase the diagnostic yield of non-malignant conditions and thoracic malignancies with specific molecular markers identification.
