OSU Annual Therapeutic Endoscopy Symposium

Saturday, April 27, 2024

Conference starts in:

Ohio Stadium - Columbus, OH
1 Day Conference April 27th, 2024
5.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit Hours

Description

There are many invasive and endoscopic procedures (such as endoscopic suturing to close fistulas, leaks, and perforations within the gastrointestinal tract, Radiofrequency ablation via endoscopic ultrasound for the treatment of pancreatic cysts and masses in patients who are not surgical candidates, Bariatric endoscopy for the treatment of obesity, and EUS-guided gallbladder drainage and gallstone lithotripsy for the treatment of cholecystitis in patients who are not surgical candidates) which have been recently developed and are performed at a handful of centers in the country. Our experienced GI endoscopy faculty have been trained on or exposed to many of these advanced procedures. As an academic institution it is our mission to educate the community about these novel procedures, their indication, and outcomes.

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
