Description

The Endocrine Update was created in 1999 with a singular mission: to educate clinical providers who take care of patients with endocrine disorders. The conference covers epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment of common endocrines. There are approximately 8500 trained endocrinologists  in the United States. This number is not sufficient to manage the growing epidemics of metabolic disorders based on population growth and the increased endocrine issues in the aging population.  This results in a shortage of endocrinologists that is a national emergency and creates a barrier to patients receiving quality, cost effective, affordable care.  The Endocrine Update will be a virtual activity employing didactic and case-based presentations, followed by panel discussions.  This format will allowing attendees to participate and ask questions which will lead to a greater understanding of the material presented. We will utilize pre- and post-event surveys to measure a change in competence based on the gaps in knowledge.
