As a result of this educational activity, webcast participants will be able to: UNDERSTAND the basic diagnosis of spells and seizures; LEARN basic medication treatment for epilepsy; and REVIEW advanced treatment options for refractory epilepsy including epilepsy surgery and devices.


You’ll also learn about the following:

  • Acute management of the patient having a seizure
  • Anti-epileptic drugs
  • Choosing between medication, surgery, or a vagal nerve stimulator
  • Advising patients about driving
