As a result of this educational activity, webcast participants will be able to:  DESCRIBE advanced care
planning for patients with advanced lung disease as well as others in the setting of COVID-19; and IDENTIFY basic tools for symptomatic treatment of patients with advanced lung disease.

Today on MedNet21, we're going to discuss Palliative Medicine and COVID-19.

This presentation is focused on evidenced based palliative medicine practices geared towards patients with advanced lung disease, specifically chronic obstructive lung disease (COPD). The lecture will touch base on topics including predicting prognosis, end of life discussions, and symptom management. In addition, this lecture will provide guidance on how we can use these practices in the setting of our current COVID-19 pandemic.
