The Ohio State University Medical Center - Columbus, OH
1 Day Conference April 28th, 2023
7.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit Hours

Description

The 2023 Cardio-Oncology Symposium addresses important clinical topics relevant to the cardiovascular health of patients with cancer. The symposium faculty will discuss new cancer treatments and strategies in diagnosis and management of cardiovascular disease in cancer patients from early diagnosis, treatment and long-term surveillance.  It is anticipated that this CME activity will Improve care for cardio-oncology patients by understanding the short-term and delayed onset cardiotoxic effects of emerging cancer therapies. In addition, identifying when cardiovascular disease issues develop with cancer patient treatment strategies can be implemented more promptly.  Case scenarios will be central to this educational activity.

REGISTRATION FOR THIS SYMPOSIUM IS CLOSED.  FOR FURTHER INFORMATION ABOUT REGISTRATION COMMUNICATE WITH THE CONTACT LISTED BELOW.

All current registrants have been sent an email from Ellen Yokoyama with the login link for this symposium. If you cannot find that email or are experiencing issues accessing the symposium platform, please email virtual.support@bartha.com.

End: 4/28/2023 4:15 PM

Objectives

At the conclusion of the continuing medical education activity participants should be able to:

1. Define the short-term and long-term cardiotoxic effects of contemporary cancer therapies.
2. Identify the best strategies to recognize when cardiovascular issues develop with your cancer patient.
3. Describe the role of cardioprotective therapy in your cancer patient population.
4. Compare cardiac imaging modalities to determine the optimal test for specific cancer patients.
5. Identify and integrate emerging cardio-oncology guidelines in clinical practice.
6. Recognize advancements and challenges in diagnosing and managing cardiac amyloidosis.
