Description
The concomitant atrial fibrillation (AF)ablation and left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) device implantation has been recently approved in the US after the publication of the Option Trial. Presentations in this continuing medical education activity will evaluate post study approval real life experiences including safety and efficacy as well as appropriate management and follow up post concomitant AF ablation and LAAO implantation procedure.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:
1. Review clinical data for left atrial appendage occlusion device and pulse field ablation.
2. Identify patient criteria for left atrial appendage occlusion device and pulse field ablation.
3. Review implantation steps for left atrial appendage occlusion and pulse field ablation.
4. Describe the importance of pre-procedure cardiac CT in understanding anatomy, transseptal access and the size of left atrial appendage occlusion device.
5. Discuss the biophysics of pulse field ablation.
6. Identify procedural steps for pulse field ablation.
7. Review upcoming left atrial closure device and ongoing studies.
8. Discuss data of post left atrial closure device antithrombotic therapy.
