Collaboration between academic medical centers and smaller hospitals enhances patient outcomes by providing broader access to cardiology experts. This partnership also promotes the exchange of knowledge, ensuring that both organizations stay aligned with current best practices and the latest clinical guidelines. In addition, shared resources across institutions help reduce overall healthcare costs while supporting high‑quality patient care.

This continuing medical education activity will address physical assessments, selecting testing modalities and medications, implementing cardiovascular disease prevention strategies, and utilization of current treatment options cardiovascular disease, electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, and peripheral artery disease.

Objectives

At the conclusion of the continuing medical education activity participants should be able to:

1.   Review current treatment options for atrial fibrillation and strengthen clinical decision‑making in selecting appropriate therapies for diverse patient needs
2.   Discuss best practices in acute coronary syndromes.
3.   Evaluate high‑sensitivity troponin testing and its practical application in clinical care.
4.   Highlight best practices for managing and evaluating common and complex cardiac conditions.
5.   Discuss evidence‑based non‑statin therapies used in the management of lipid disorders.
6.   Examine various diagnostic testing modalities used to identify cardiac conditions.
7.   Increase awareness of cardiovascular screening practices and important factors influencing safe sports participation.
8.   Assess the overview of the emerging field of cardio‑oncology, focusing on how cancer treatments impact heart health and the multidisciplinary approaches used to optimize outcomes for oncology patients
9.   Evaluate the management of peripheral artery disease, with a focus on current practices and evolving strategies that optimize patient outcomes.
10. Build a collaborative healthcare network through strategic partnerships and integrated data sharing, ensuring equitable access to specialized care, optimizing resources, and accelerating evidence‑based innovations that enhance patient outcomes and system resilience.
