Objectives
At the conclusion of this Regularly Scheduled Series, participants should be able to:
1. Identify predictors of severe acute pancreatitis, and provide high quality early management.
2. Identify the different types of peripancreatic fluid collections and discuss the various therapeutic approaches, including percutaneous, endoscopic, and surgical.
3. Describe treatment options for symptom management in patients with pancreatic disorders.
4. Identify current gaps in the management of pancreatic disorders as OSUWMC that may potentially contribute to poor patient outcomes or unnecessary utilization of health care resources.
5. Describe the radiographic features of different pancreatic cystic neoplasms and the varying approaches to each entity.
6. Discuss indications for surgical intervention for complications of acute and chronic pancreatitis, and pancreatic cysts
7. Identify patients who are suitable candidates for total pancreatectomy with autoislet transplantation (TPIAT)
8. Discuss indications for surgical resection in patients with borderline resectable or locally advanced pancreatic cancer.
