Description
There are many types of liver disease. Some of the most common types are treatable with diet and lifestyle changes, while others may require lifelong medication to manage. Approximately 4.5 million adults have liver disease. It causes about 57,000 U.S. deaths a year. early recognition is key to treating liver disease effectively before permanent damage is done.
Advances in Liver Disease is the subject of this week’s OSUMC East Hospital Grand Rounds. Vivek Mendiratta, MD, Assistant Professor of Transplant Hepatology is the expert panelist in this MedNet 21 webcast. Dr. Mendiratta will discuss updates in steatotic liver disease, novel treatments of hepatocellular carcinoma, and autoimmune liver disease. This presentation will be moderated by Shengyi Mao, MD, Associate Professor of Internal Medicine, and Medical Editor of MedNet 21. This presentation will be available as an in-person presentation in Wallace Auditorium beginning today at 12:00 noon, Friday, October 11.

Objectives
