Description

he world is facing a global epidemic of diet-related chronic disease. In fact, one of every five deaths across the globe is attributable to suboptimal diet, more than any other risk factor including tobacco. Research shows that dietary habits influence the risk of certain diseases. While some foods may lead to chronic health conditions, others can offer therapeutic and protective qualities. Food as medicine sits at the crossroads of nutrition and healthcare.

Food as Medicine is the subject of today's OSUMC East Hospital Grand Rounds. Allison Rhodes, MD, Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine, and Kimberly Tartaglia, MD, Professor of Internal Medicine are the expert panelists in this MedNet 21 webcast planned and moderated by Shengyi Mao, MD, Associate Professor of Internal Medicine, and Medical Editor of MedNet 21. This presentation will be available as an in-person presentation in Wallace Auditorium.
