Objectives
Understand the healing cascade after injury and surgery and the relevant growth factors involved in the healing response.
Understand the definition of stem cell, the various sources available for harvesting, and the regulatory oversight involving their use.
Be aware of the currently approved orthobiologic therapies utilized in clinical practice to augment soft tissue and tendon-to-bone healing
