End: 6/26/2026 4:05 PM
Objectives
1. Identify the therapeutic potential to enhance olfactory functions in healthy and non-healthy patient cohorts through improving intranasal air and odorant delivery.
2. Recognition of nonevidence-based balloon sinuplasty use and how to counsel patients who are considering the procedure about appropriate use.
3. Assess the need to evolve our training systems by incorporating AI.
4. Understand the principles and clinical potential of intraoperative cancer cell imaging for real-time tumor edge detection and precision resection; how novel polymer-based therapeutic delivery systems can be deployed at the time of surgery to maximize local efficacy and minimize systemic toxicity; and the ability to critically evaluate how these technologies may reduce recurrence, improve functional outcomes, and mitigate financial and treatment-related toxicity.
5. Identify patients with autoimmune disease who are at risk for sinonasal malformation within an ENT clinic, becoming familiar with appropriate diagnostic testing and treatment options for these patients.
6. Recall prognostic baseline indicators of survival in adults undergoing lung transplantation and describe best clinical practices for adults undergoing lung transplantation.
7. Describe the core principles of value-based healthcare and how they apply specifically to surgical specialties and otolaryngology.
