1. Describe the role of damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) in the pathogenesis of critical illnesses, including sepsis and acute lung injury

2. Explain how targeting components of the innate immune response can modulate DAMP-driven inflammation in critically ill patients

3. Evaluate translational strategies and emerging therapeutic interventions aimed at reducing DAMP-mediated immune dysregulation
