Grand Round starts in:

C4N, Conference Room, 144 - Columbus, OH
May 22nd, 2026
1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit Hours

Description

Dr. Porges’ program of research focuses on age-related changes in cognition and the neurophysiological processes that underlie, impact, and accelerate these changes. In service of this focus, he conducts research that integrates factors known to accelerate aging, including heavy alcohol use, HIV, and obesity. To explore this area, his research utilizes a range of methods including neuroimaging (i.e., magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS)), cognitive and behavioral assessment, metabolic tools, and neuromodulation methods (i.e., non-invasive transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation (tVNS)).
