Emerging Infections: Cyclospora and Lyme Disease

This grand round has already taken place.

The sudden outbreak of cyclosporiasis and the growing infection rate of Lyme disease are among the emerging infections identified by the Centers for Disease Control. Reemerging diseases are those that come back after they have been on a major decline. This may happen because of problems in public health actions for diseases that were once under control. They can also happen when new strains of known diseases occur.

Emerging Infections: Cyclospora and Lyme Disease is the topic of this week’s OSUMC East Hospital Grand Rounds. Nora Colburn, MD, Associate Professor of Medicine, and Christina Liscynesky, MD, Associate Professor on Internal Medicine, are the expert panelists in this MedNet 21 webcast moderated by Shengyi Mao, MD, Associate Professor of Internal Medicine. This presentation will be available as an in-person presentation in Wallace Auditorium, today, September 25 at 12:00 noon.
