Description
Continuing to educate faculty and trainees, showcase faculty role models, promote a collegial atmosphere. To summarize advances across a specialty and its subspecialties, facilitate interaction among faculty members and integrate different subspecialties. The goal is to reflect the broad scope of our department’s clinical and diagnostic expertise. Pathology Grand Rounds is a common education activity and is found in most pathology departments around the country and is an important teaching tool. In many teaching institutions, grand rounds are a weekly educational activity and a time-honored tradition. Each event will consist of a lecture by an invited speaker either by The Ohio State University, or from an outside institute and will be of national repute in basic science or in clinical/anatomic pathology. The most important objectives of this educational series in Pathology are to educate faculty and trainees, showcase faculty role models, and promote a collegial atmosphere. The 50-minute presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.
