Description
Today on MedNet21, we're going to discuss Contraception.
Learners should become familiar with contraception options for patients. Included in the presentation are aspects of the history of contraception, contraception counseling, contraception options including efficacy, side effects, and contraindications. Additionally, targeted information surrounding contraception for adolescents will be presented.
Learners should expect to learn how to approach contraception discussions with adolescents and adolescent-focused contraception options. Learners will also be encouraged to explore their local state laws surrounding minor’s reproductive health rights and confidentiality.
In order to take the post-test, you will need to be logged into your OSU CCME account.

As a result of this educational activity, webcast participants will be able to:
- Feel comfortable counseling patients on different contraception options.
- Recognize absolute and relative contraindications for contraception.
- Discuss contraception options for the adolescent population.
- Be familiar with contraceptive treatments for patient-specific indications
