Description
Physicians unaware of details on the high value care concepts within the GI field and lack confidence when making medication and procedural decisions for patients. Access to sub-specialty care/interventions can be limited with long wait times. The 8th Annual Management of High Value Care GI Disorders for the Primary Care Provider aims to help those in attendance feel more confidence in decision making.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this live activity, learners should be able to:
Describe some of the challenges in delivering high value care in the gastroenterology and hepatology fields.
Explain the burden of NAFLD/NASH in the US and have some direction on the evaluation and treatment of these conditions.
Interpret hepatitis B virus testing and basics of treatment. Know the role of HCC screening in hepatitis B infection
Evaluate typical and atypical GERD symptoms. Know when endoscopy warranted for reflux disease.
Explain the primary care provider's role in Inflammatory Bowel Disease patients on biologic and small molecule treatment.
Assess rectal bleeding in outpatient setting.
Explain diagnosis and complications of cirrhosis along with management steps. When to get hepatology involved in care.
Describe racial inequities within gastroenterology have led to inequities of patient outcomes. Gain understanding of ways you can reflect on your own practice in attempt to minimize racial inequities of care delivered.
Describe updates in diagnosis and treatment of diverticular disease.
Identify updated recommendations for Colorectal Cancer Screening.
