Description
This conference brings together a multidisciplinary group of experts to explore the breadth of options for cardiovascular emergencies. This course will provide physicians, advanced practice providers, trainees-in-medicine, nurses, allied healthcare providers, and emergency medical personnel with information regarding the most current evidence-based practices and treatment modalities.
The Ohio State University Center for EMS is approved to conduct continuing education programs for EMS in the State of Ohio by the Ohio Department of Public Safety, Division of EMS [Approval #2214].
Continuing education approved by the Ohio Department of Public Safety, Division of EMS meets Ohio Board of Nursing requirements for nursing licensure [OAC 4723-14-A-7].

Objectives
At the conclusion of this continuing medical education activity participants should be able to:

2. Review the management of cardiogenic shock patients.
3. Describe how to build the PERT team.
4. Discuss the management of pulmonary embolism in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
5. Recognize how to manage various peripheral vascular diseases using transcatheter therapies.
