Description
This virtual symposium is focused on the evolution of survivorship care. It will examine models and current state of cancer survivorship care. National guidelines emphasized the importance and priority of providing quality survivorship care, however many barriers and gaps exist in understanding the role of survivorship. This symposium will provide practitioners with the history and evolution of survivorship care and the current state of survivorship care at The James. Institute of Medicine was the first document to formally highlight the needs of cancer survivors (IOM, 2006).
