Description

The longitudinal preceptor program is an opportunity for 1st and 2nd year students to gain early exposure to the clinical setting and have one-on-one mentorship from an expert clinician. One of the most important aspects of the LP preceptor-student relationship is good, timely and constructive feedback to the students to help them improve their skills. Our preceptors may find it challenging to provide feedback to students, depending on the unique situations and especially in students with professionalism and learning challenges. Faculty may also find it difficult to provide timely feedback in the constraints of a busy clinical environment.
