Description
It is essential that healthcare providers can identify and integrate current guidelines in diagnosing and treating cardiomyopathy and heart failure patients. Many of these patients have multiple co-morbidities and diagnoses. This continuing medical education activity emphasizes the utilization of current imaging guidelines for diagnosing and treating patients in order to improve the level of care. Learner will gain increased knowledge on appropriate imaging test ordering and interpretation resulting in improved treatment strategies for patients with cardiomyopathy and/or heart failure.

Objectives

1. Understand new developments and indications for echocardiographic and nuclear cardiovascular imaging in the management for heart failure and cardiomyopathies.
2. Learn and explore utility of advanced imaging in cardiac magnetic resonance and computed tomography.
3. Expand skillsets in multimodality imaging in applicable clinical settings.
