Objectives
At the conclusion of this continuing medical education activity participants should be able to:
1. Describe the initial evaluation testing and management of atrial fibrillation and the appropriate timing of referral to cardiovascular / cardiac electrophysiology specialist.
2. Discuss the current approach to rhythm control strategy of ventricular tachycardia (VT) with appropriate evaluation and early implementation of rhythm control strategy including appropriate referral and transfer to advanced VT.
3. Delineate the appropriate approach to patient with syncope including focusing on history taking, etiologies and mechanism as well as appropriate therapy.
4. Discuss the implication of CT coronary calcium score and appropriate interventions.
5. Discuss the appropriate patient selection and principles for device therapy in patients with obstructive sleep apnea.
6. Describe the clinical manifestation, evaluation and treatment of hypercortisolism.
7. Discuss the appropriate evaluation and management of Atrial Septal Defect / Patent Foramen Ovale.
8. Discuss the indications and benefit of cardiac MRI compared to other cardiac imaging modalities.
9. Describe the appropriate patient selection, procedure and impact of cardio-neural ablation on patient with vasovagal syncope
10. Define, evaluate and manage stressor associated atrial fibrillation.
12. Discuss appropriate evaluation and management of sudden cardiac arrest in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
13. Delineate the role of cardio oncology medicine in evaluation and management of cardiovascular outcomes of newer cancer therapy.
