- Understand the prevalence of suicidal ideation and behaviors in the disability community.
- Describe the health disparities experienced by people with disabilities.
- Identify common barriers to treatment in the disability community.
- Acknowledge the ways in which ableism influences mental health outcomes, including suicide.
- Describe the association between disability-related cognitions and increased suicide risk.
- Understand ongoing clinical trials focused on reducing suicide risk in the disability community.
- Implement solutions to increase accessibility when assessing and treating suicide risk in the disability community.
