About the Speaker:

Dr. Habes is a leading expert in neuroimaging and artificial intelligence, specializing in the development of advanced imaging biomarkers for neurodegenerative diseases. His research integrates MRI, PET, and AI-driven analytics to enhance early detection, disease monitoring, and precision diagnostics in Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. Dr. Habes leads the Imaging Core of the South Texas ADRC, where he oversees the standardization of imaging protocols, data harmonization, and AI-based analysis to improve diagnostic accuracy in aging and dementia research in South Texas. Additionally, he spearheads nationally recognized projects, including the RECOVER Adult Brain MRI Reading Center, the VIBRA initiative for vascular biomarkers, and multiethnic neuroimaging studies aimed at addressing disparities in brain aging and dementia. With a strong focus on AI in neuroimaging, Dr. Habes continues to drive innovative research that shapes the future of neuroimaging studies. His contributions have been widely published in more than 100 journals and have influenced the field’s approach to AI integration in healthcare research.
