Ross Heart Hospital - Columbus, OH
July 18th, 2025
1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit Hours

Description

Paula Reventun Torralba, PhD, is a postdoctoral fellow in the Division of Cardiology at Johns Hopkins University. Her research focuses on the genetic regulation of coagulation factors by endothelial cells, with an emphasis on how genes identified through genome-wide association studies (GWAS) influence thrombotic risk. She investigates the molecular mechanisms governing the secretion of von Willebrand Factor and Factor VIII, particularly the roles of CD36 and RAB5C in vesicle trafficking. Dr. Reventun Torralba received her PhD in Cell Signaling from the University of Alcalá in Spain.
